Hallie's Studio Policies

Hallie's Studio welcomes all families with young aspiring musicians ages 3-18 years of age. Please read the following policies effective August 1st, 2025.

 

Make-Up policies:

Lesson times are exact. Please be punctual. Make-up lessons might be offered on a case by case basis with 24 hours or more cancellation notice at teacher's discretion. Paid group classes or masterclasses cannot be made up or refunded.

 

Parent Involvement:

​

Parents are recommended to remain with the student throughout the lesson to take notes, and required to stay for private lessons of students under 8. You are welcome to drop off children older than 8 for a lesson should you need to, and I will brief you on the skills and practice points to work on for the week. Visiting children and siblings are also welcome in my home.

 

Public Performance Participation:

Performance opportunities will be offered at least once per semester, and all students are encouraged to participate. Notices will be given at least a month in advance.

Practicing:

​

Daily practice and listening is required by all students and length of practice depends on skill level. Practice requirements should be written for each private lesson in their notebook. Don't forget your notebook, and practice every day that you eat!

 

Payment:

​

Payment is on a monthly basis, and registration for new semesters is automatic unless otherwise notified. Students utilizing Step Up for Students funds must reserve funds for the entire semester up front, and will be invoiced to SUFS at the end of each semester.
