Suitable for children ages 3-18, this flute program will have your young musicians playing beautiful music with grace and elegance, all while having lots of fun! Register below for the group class and schedule your private lesson individually with Hallie Chandola (Mrs. C.) Younger students will have a Nuvo flute provided to them for the program, and older student have the option of renting a flute with a straight or curved head flute for as little as $20/month. Families are asked to purchase their own sheet music and stand. The Suzuki method is a study-proven method for music education which trains children to play music beautifully with beautiful hearts. Parents also get some training in ways to promote daily practice habits, how to encourage learning alongside fun, and fostering a growth mindset in students. Some key components of the Suzuki method include daily listening, daily practice, parental involvement, early start to music education, playing by ear (in the beginning), group learning with peers, reviews and revisions, and breaking down complex skills into easy to learn segments. We will work on a new musical topic and pieces each week, and even beginners tooting on headjoints are welcome to play along in group class for some fun and interesting harmonies! More experienced students will enjoy advanced intonation, artistry skills, and even chamber music composition! During group classes we will be learning the following: Ensemble playing Intonation Basic music theory Note reading Repertoire familiarity Rhythm games and more fun for all ages! Children love the group classes and will look forward to seeing their friends with a common musical interest each week. Hope to see you there!
Class is subject to cancellation if minimum enrollment is not met. Thank you!
